A father was devastated when he was arrested before his son’s birthday party.
The man of Chicago, Illinois, was arrested on drug charges before he allegedly chewed the seat belt in the police car in hopes of getting out and attend the birthday party.
33-year-old Lashon Stuckey was arrested on Monday around 2:00 p.m., after police said that they saw him conducting a suspected narcotics transaction.
Officers allege that he sold $30 worth of heroin in the 200 block of South Western Avenue. Police allegedly found several other bags of heroin in his possession.
Stuckey was placed in a police car and taken to a nearby station. During the short drive, the suspect managed to chew through the seat belt.
Stuckey reportedly told officers that he did not want to miss the birthday party of his son.
Stuckey was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of criminal damage to property.
Stuckey did not make it back to the party as he was jailed and bail was set at $75,000.
