A woman was arrested on charges of larceny after allegedly stealing three phone chargers from a Rite Aid store, police in Massachusetts said.

Middletown Police said that they arrested 28-year-old Ashley Timmons on Sunday, after being accused of stealing from the Rite Aid located at 10 Main Street.

Police were called to the store around 8:00 a.m., after Timmons of West Roxbury, spent about an hour in the store, opening items and placing them in a bag.

Police found Timmons kneeling on the floor with three phone chargers. She told officers that she needed the chargers for her cellphone because the battery died.

Police found a syringe in her bag and she admitted to using heroin. An employee showed officers that Timmons defecated on a shelf in aisle 31.

Police observed a pile of used tissues on top of what appeared to be human feces.

Timmons denied defecating in the store, saying that she stepped on something before coming into the store and used tissues to wipe her shoes.

She was charged with criminal mischief, larceny, breach of the peace and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $15,000.
