A mother was killed and her two children are in critical condition after their car crashed on the way home from her sister’s funeral.
49-year-old Tereasa Cutler of the United Kingdom, was pronounced dead, and her children, Alice, 18, and Daniel, 16, were left badly injured and orphaned by the crash on Wednesday.
Cutler of Ringwood, England, was driving home from her sister Patricia Woodland’s funeral when her car crashed head-on into a BMW.
Her nephew Joseph Woodland, the 19-year-old son of her deceased sister, was also seriously injured in the accident.
Alice was rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance while Daniel and Joseph were airlifted by helicopter. The three are said to be in a serious but stable condition.
The children are now orphans as their father died several years ago after a battle with cancer.
Joseph was living with Cutler and her family after the death of his mother.
