A young woman was rushed to a hospital after she fell out of a moving van while trying to vomit on a highway, police in Indiana said.

Indianapolis Police said that the incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on the I-69 north.

Witnesses said that they saw the van traveling in the center lane of the highway before it considerably slowed down, causing traffic to pass on both sides.

As the truck continued driving, 27-year-old Zrmina Padsha fell onto the road from the rear driver’s side door. The driver of the truck told police that his sister was sitting in the seat behind him when she began feeling ill.

He said that he was trying to find a place to pull over when she opened the sliding door to vomit. Padsha fell out as she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Paramedics of the Indianapolis Fire Department responded to the scene and transported her to the St. Vincents Hospital. She was conscious and alert at the scene and appeared to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
