Boy in possession of drugs stabs science teacher in the stomach because he took away his phone

(Scroll down for video) A 14-year-old boy was arrested on charges of attempted murder and possession of drugs after allegedly stabbing his teacher in the stomach because he took away his phone, police in the United Kingdom said.

Bradford Police sad that 50-year-old Vincent Uzomah, staggered out of his classroom covered in blood a few minutes after starting to teach.

Students in the hall watched in horror as paramedics arrived to take the teacher to a hospital. The 14-year-old suspect ran away from school, and he was captured by police after a 6-hour manhunt.

According to the police investigation, the teen brought a kitchen knife to school, which he used to attack the teacher. Uzomah, who is a married father of two children, is in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries.

The boy had been in the school for about a year, and has been having problems with his teachers and classmates. Students told investigators that the teacher tried to take away the boy’s phone before being stabbed in the stomach.

The boy was charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of possessing cannabis. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
