A police officer was caught in a hospital dressed as a doctor and taking drugs, police in Tennessee said.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said that 26-year-old Ryan Epperson, was charged with possession of drugs.
Epperson posed as a doctor to steal numerous amounts of drugs from the Erlanger and Parkridge hospitals.
Epperson managed to gain access to drug dispensing rooms.
Once inside, he used a tool to pry open the dispensers and steal drugs.
Epperson was caught red-handed and admitted to taking drugs because he has a drug addiction problem. Epperson reached into his pants pocket and pulled out six vials of Demerol.
When police searched the home and car of Epperson, they found additional drugs. Epperson was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $93,000.
Epperson was suspended from the Sheriff’s Office with pay.
