A woman was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly beating her boyfriend with canned food until he died, police in California said.
Los Angeles police said that they have arrested 59-year-old Linda Clarene Jackson, after being accused of beating 59-year-old David Ruiz with cans of peas and carrots.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday, at the couple’s home.
According to the police investigation, during an argument, Jackson allegedly used a can of peas, a can of carrots and a can of chicken broth to hit her boyfriend in the head.
Ruiz was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died of his injuries. Jackson was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $1 million.
If convicted, Jackson faces up to life in prison.
