(Scroll down for video) The New York Police Department has launched an investigation after its offers slapped parking tickets on a car that had a dead man sitting in the driver’s seat.
47-year-old Mamadou Barry of Brooklyn, was seen by police officers sitting dead in his car, but failed to report it.
Two parking tickets were found in the car that was parked in a zone where vehicles are not allowed to park between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The first ticket was found inside the car and the second ticket was on the windshield.
The day the body was found, police officers issued tickets to the cars in front and behind of Barry’s car, but still failed to report that he was dead.
Barry appears to have died of natural causes.
Barry suffered a number of health problems that required medication, and he was known for driving himself to the hospital when he felt ill.
