Dallas police said that they arrested 34-year-old Jonathan Edelen, after he allegedly admitted to killing his wife by suffocating her with a pillow.
Edelen was booked into the Dallas County jail, and his bail was set at $500,000.
According to the police investigation, paramedics arrived at the couple’s home around 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, where they found 28-year-old Ceaira Ford laying dead in her bed.
A bottle of prescription drugs that belonged to Ford was found at the scene. Edelen approached a police officer at the scene and confessed to killing his wife.
Edelen told detectives that he and Ford had been arguing on Monday night. Edelen grabbed a blanket and threw it over Ford.
He then jumped on top of her. He also grabbed a pillow and placed it on her head until she stopped moving. He waited to call the police until Wednesday.
