(Scroll down for video) Two women managed to steal $500 worth of items from a supermarket, but left their 2 girls behind.
The women are accused of stealing a shopping cart loaded with food and other goods from the supermarket.
However, the women of Florida, left their two 11-year-old girls behind.
Kristen Grodetz, 25, and Jessica Barker, 31, did not return to pick up their children even after the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office called one of the women and asked her to come to the store to get the girls.
Both Barker and Grodetz were confronted by an employee of the Publix supermarket on Sunday. One of the women grabbed a 3-year-old child and fled the store, police said.
The girls provided police officers with a cellphone number of one of the alleged thieves. Officers spoke with the woman. She said that she will come back to pick up her daughter, but she never returned.
The girls are now with the Department of Children and Families.
Barker and Grodetz face charges of grand theft, child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
