(Scroll down for video) A judge and her former classmate reunited in a courtroom.
The man, who had a promising future as a child, sadly turned to a life of crime.
49-year-old Arthur Booth of Miami, Florida, was in court for a bail hearing on Thursday, after he was arrested and charged with burglary.
During his bond hearing, Judge Mindy Glazer asked Booth if had attended the Nautilus Middle School. That is when Booth suddenly recognized the judge as his former classmate.
Booth hung his head in shame and said: “Oh my God, oh my God.” He then began to cry as judge Glazer recalled their childhood.
“He was the nicest kid in middle school,” the judge said. “I used to play football with him, and look what has happened,” she added.
Booth had a lot going for him in life, but unfortunately, he chose a path of drugs and crime, according to family members.
His cousin Melissa Miller, said that Booth is a good father and grandfather. She also said that she and other family members hope that the encounter with the judge will be a wake-up call for him and he will change his ways.
Judge Glazer set bond at $43,000 telling Booth that she hopes he will turn his life around and start leading a lawful life.
