(Scroll down for video) A female police officer was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after crashing her motorcycle into two cars that were waiting at a red light, police in New York said.
The New York Police Department said that they have arrested 29-year-old Stacey Staniland of New Brighton, after being accused of crashing her unregistered motorcycle while wearing a helmet with the words “Little Miss Dangerous” written on it.
According to the police investigation, Staniland was riding her motorcycle on Davis Avenue around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, when she lost control of it while trying to turn onto Henderson Avenue.
She hit two cars waiting at a red light.
Police officers who arrived at the scene, said that while she was removing her identification from her backpack, an officer saw a silver spoon and a syringe.
A search of her backpack revealed four and a half clonazepam pills without proof of prescription.
Staniland was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic needle, drug possession and driving an unregistered motorcycle without plates.
