(Scroll down for video) A bus driver and passengers were horrified when two men pointed water guns at them, police in China said.

The two men in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, were arrested after taking a prank too far by pretending to rob a bus driver with toy guns.

The fake robbery lasted only a few moments, but it was enough to scare all the passengers on board.

Police said that one of the men had two colorful water guns when he boarded the bus and shouted: “This is a robbery, get on your knees.”

The man who was not wearing a shirt, pointed the gun at the female bus driver and yelled: “open the box or I’ll shoot.”

The men did not wait for money, instead, they immediately ran out of the bus. The bus driver called the police as soon as the men left.

Police believe that it was a prank and they searched the Internet for the video of the incident. As expected, police found a video that was recorded from inside the bus by the accomplice. It was uploaded to the Internet one day after the incident.

Police quickly identified the “armed robber” who was identified as Nie, and his accomplice who was identified as Zheng.

The two were arrested and charged with causing a public disturbance.

The two admitted they were just trying to be funny, and apologized for scaring the bus driver and passengers with the plastic guns.
