(Scroll down for video) Parents of a woman who laid on top of her dead boyfriend for three days, are angry after it took police a long time until they responded to a call about a car crash.
28-year-old John Yuill of Glasgow, Scotland, died on Sunday morning when his car crashed.
His girlfriend, 25-year-old Lamara Bell, was found in the wreckage of his car on Wednesday. The mother of two children was taken to Queen Elizabeth hospital, where she was said to be in critical condition.
Doctors said that Bell was bleeding in the brain and was on dialysis before she died. The accident occurred on the M9. Police admitted that they did not investigate reports about the car crash on Sunday.
They were called again to the scene of the accident on Wednesday. Officers said that they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The female passenger who was still alive on top of her boyfriend’s body, was taken to the hospital, where she was in critical condition for several days before she died, police said.
Yuill left behind three children while Bell left behind two children.
The families of Yuill and Bell are furious that it took police three days to respond to the scene. Officials said that they are investigating why the initial accident report was ignored.
