A woman who was furious that her boyfriend locked her out of their hotel room, decided to burn the place down, putting hundreds of people in harm’s way, prosecutors in the United Kingdom said.

26-year-old Georgina Tranter was arrested, charged and convicted of arson for burning down the Premier Inn hotel in Haverfordwest.

According to the police investigation, Tranter had attended an event with her boyfriend and a friend. At the event, she drank alcohol and snorted cocaine.

Later that evening, the couple went to the Premier Inn, where she was locked out of her room by her boyfriend. After Tranter acted disorderly, hotel employees called the police who took her to her mother’s home.

Tranter however, decided to go back the hotel and cause trouble. She took her mother’s car and returned to the Premier Inn before setting it on fire.

More than 100 people were evacuated from the hotel around 6:30 a.m.

Tranter was found guilty of arson, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.
