A man was arrested, charged and convicted of indecent behavior after pulling down his pants and urinating on a crowded bus, prosecutors in Ireland said.

Now, 30-year-old Gerard Patrick Mullen of Belfast, has been sentenced to serve four months in jail after admitting to urinating on a bus full of passengers.

Mullen was also accused of stealing alcohol from two supermarkets.

According to the police investigation, Mullen was on a bus when he lowered his pants and began to urinate in front of other passengers.

The bus had to be removed from service and a thorough cleaning of the vehicle cost 100 pounds ($156). The passengers did not file a complaint, but the incident was recorded on the bus’ surveillance camera.

Mullen also admitted to stealing alcoholic beverages from Supervalu and Sainsbury’s.

On both occasions, he left the store without paying for the alcohol and was identified by police after they saw the stores’ security surveillance videos.

In addition to the jail sentence, Mullen was ordered to pay 100 pounds ($156) compensation as well as to pay for the alcohol he took from the supermarkets.
