Police were able to shut down a prostitution ring after several prostitutes used blood of worms to fake their virginity, police in China said.
Jiangsu police said that they were able to shut down the prostitution ring after receiving complaints from clients who claimed that they were ripped off.
According to the police investigation, the prostitutes lured customers by using WeChat, QQ and MoMo. In the messages, the women offered their virginity in exchange for money.
However, the prostitutes were not virgins. An undercover agent revealed that one prostitute used blood of worms to fake her virginity.
The women charged between 2,000 ($322) and 10,000 yuan ($1,610). The officer set up a meeting, and the prostitute was arrested.
The suspect identified as Liu, said that at least 10 women operated in the ring. Police also arrested the ringleader identified as Zhang, and dozens of others involved.
