A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly trying to kill her boyfriend with a can of tuna, police in Connecticut said.
Middletown police said that they have arrested 30-year-old Emily Harrison on Wednesday night, after being accused of hitting her boyfriend with the can of tuna following an evening out drinking.
Police officers arrived at the couple’s home on William Street around 7:30 p.m., after receiving a call from a witness who heard a fight that she believed was physical.
The caller said that he heard a woman scream: “I will kill you.”
The police questioned the man, who said that he had been drinking with Harrison, and when they returned home, she became aggressive.
Harrison pushed him around before taking a can of tuna and cutting him with it. Police said that the victim had cuts on the right hand.
Harrison was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Her bail was set at $1,000.
