(Scroll down for video) A would be robber was tackled by a pastor during a sermon in Florida.
Melbourne police arrested the man who tried to rob parishioners during a sermon before he was stopped by the pastor of the church.
21-year-old John Grace was arrested and charged with armed robbery among other charges over the incident on Sunday morning.
Grace entered the Christian Fellowship Church on East Melbourne Avenue, and pointed a gun and a knife at the mother of Pastor Les Snodgrass.
Grace told everyone to get down on the floor and give him their money. The whole incident was captured on the audio system of the church while recording the sermon.
Grace was no stranger to the pastor and churchgoers. Although he was not a regular, he came to the church for services from time to time.
The pastor knew that he had to act quickly to protect his mother. He spoke to Grace in an attempt to get his attention away from his mother.
He then pushed Grace against the wall with all his strength. Once he was pinned to the wall, the pastor’s son lunged at him and punched him in the head twice, according to the pastor.
Snodgrass said that his wife put a stun gun to Grace, until the Melbourne police officers arrived to arrested him.
As officers arrested Grace, it was revealed that the weapon used was a BB gun. Nobody was hurt during the incident. Grace is being held without bail.
