(Scroll down for video) A nursing home patient in Florida, was shocked to find a snake in his underwear when he went to the bathroom in middle of the night.
Workers at the Titusville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, said that a certified nursing assistant found the snake in the patient’s underwear.
The nurse told police that the supervisors at the facility told her not to call the police. However, someone made an anonymous call to the police to report the incident.
The caller told the police dispatcher that a live snake was found in the patient’s underwear as he was in the bathroom in middle of the night.
The caller also told the dispatcher that the supervisors were trying to cover up the incident.
The nursing home director said that he would call pest control, saying that the snake may have gotten into the patient’s underwear through a blanket.
Other employees also told police that management is trying to cover up what’s happened. Luckily, the patient was not injured or bitten by the snake, police said.
Police identified the snake as non poisonous. A pest control company that inspected the facility found no evidence of snakes.
