(Scroll down for video) A young woman was saved from being raped while walking in a park after paying off her attacker by giving him cash, police in New York said.
The New York Police Department said that the 24-year-old woman was walking in the McCarren Park in Brooklyn on Saturday around 11:30 p.m., when the incident occurred.
The woman was walking near Leonard Street and Bayard Street when a black man grabbed her neck and touched her private parts.
The suspect then told the woman that he is going to have sex wit her. The 24-year-old woman offered the suspect money for not raping her, and he agreed.
The two walked to a nearby ATM, and the woman gave him $20. The man accepted the cash and left the woman alone. The woman was not seriously injured in the attack, and denied medical attention at the scene.
Police are looking for the suspect, but so far, he remains on the loose.
