(Scroll down for video) A police officer was shocked to find millions of dollars worth of illegal drugs floating in the water while fishing, police in Florida said.
Charlotte County police said that the unidentified officer found 50 pounds of cocaine in the Gulf of Mexico.
The officer was off duty and fishing 25 miles from the beach in Englewood, when he made the discovery. The officer pulled out of the water 25 bricks of cocaine, with an estimated value of $12 million.
The officer immediately called his colleague who contacted the Border Patrol. The police department refused to identify the officer who found the cocaine, due to security concerns.
The FBI is trying to find the owner of the cocaine, but so far, no arrests have been made.
