(Scroll down for video) The manager at a Lowe’s store in Virginia, was fired after allegedly banning a black driver from making a delivery to a customer who requested a white person.
Marcus Bradley said that on Monday, he started his work as normal.
After leaving the store, he received a phone call to drive back to the store.
When Bradley asked the manager why he was being called back, he was told that the customer doesn’t want to take delivery from a black person.
Bradley has worked at Lowe’s for 11 years, and this is the first time such a thing happened. Bradley returned to the store, and he was replaced by a white driver.
The customer insisted that she has the right to choose who delivers her items. The manager was fired as a result of the incident.
Lowe’s said that the discriminatory request should have never be honored because it is incompatible with the values of the company.
