(Scroll down for video) A man of Australia, pleaded guilty to abusing young children who were in his care.
33-year-old Shannon Grant McCoole had many jobs and he did volunteer work that involved children, including a job at a summer camp for kids in the United States.
The former social worker was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the vile sexual abuse of seven small children.
McCoole pleaded guilty to a horrifying list of sexual offenses against young children who were placed in his care while he worked as a social worker for the government.
There were 7 known victims who were as young as 18 months old. One had autism and another child was disabled. Police raided his home and found 100,000 pornographic photos and 600 videos.
McCoole also ran an international child pornography website with more than 1,000 members. There he shared videos and photos of himself abusing the victims.
McCoole’s father and other people in court were happy when District Court Judge Paul Rice Sentenced McCoole to 35 years in prison. He must serve at least 28 years before he can be eligible for parole.
Judge Rice said that McCoole, who comes from a nice family and had a good education, ran an “evil” international child pornography operation.
“There are those who might describe your actions as sick, but I prefer evil and depraved,” the judge said.
