A young woman who attempted to steal items from a clothes donation box, became trapped inside and had to be rescued by firefighters, police in Washington said.
Firefighters in Seattle, rescued the 26-year-old woman early Monday morning.
According to the police investigation, the unidentified woman crawled into the 4 by 6 foot clothing donation box at the corner of Fourth Avenue South and South Mead Street, in order to take some clothes.
When she tried to crawl out, her leg got stuck in the box’s anti-theft mechanism. Firefighters were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m.
They used heavy equipment to force open the box and freed the woman. She refused medical treatment. So far, no charges have been filed against the woman.
