Police have arrested a large group of people during a sex party.

Bulawayo police have arrested 224 students at a sex party at the Umguza Rest Camp on the outskirts of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

After the arrests, police learned that some children were as young as 13 years old and young adults aged 20.

The wild party was held on Saturday. Police warned parents and guardians that they might be arrested for not taking care of their children.

Police said that the party involved sexual activity, alcohol and drug abuse.

Bulawayo Metropolitan Province police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango said that parents can face charges of negligence for failing to take care of their children in terms of the country’s laws.

Simango said that even after warning the parents and releasing children back into their custody, no changes have been made in these bad behaviors.

“We have been warning them and encouraging the parents to talk to their children about the dangers of alcohol abuse. They must take greater interest on the whereabouts of their children or face child negligence as stipulated in the Children’s Act,” Simango said.

She also said that the 224 children were arrested after a police officer pulled over a van, which was transporting 18 children to the party.

After the officer heard that they were going to a party, he decided to follow them and investigate.

Insp Simango said that the children were arrested while the owner of Rest Camp is facing charges after being accused of allowing underage children to drink alcohol.

The 224 children were taken to four police stations in the city.

Police confiscated condoms and “almost all brands of liquor that are available on the market,” during the raid. The 224 were released to the custody of their parents.
