A man is facing life in prison after he was found guilty of a vicious attack on a woman.
41-year-old Alexander Lamar Prince of Jacksonville, Florida, was found guilty on Thursday, of armed burglary, sexual battery, three counts of kidnapping with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Assistant State Attorneys John Cannizzaro and Lauren Huish, who prosecuted the case, said that Prince and his co-defendant broke into the victim’s residence armed with guns.
They then ordered the three victims to get on the ground and demanded the victims to hand over their valuables, including money and jewelry.
The men then forced the victims to take off their clothes. Two male victims were tied up. Then Prince pointed his loaded shotgun at the female victim and sexually assaulted her.
They grabbed items from the residence and fled in a stolen vehicle. When officers spotted Prince and the co-defendant and attempted to pull them over, they fled from the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle, officers found cellphones, IDs which belonged to the victims and the guns used during the incident.
Prince now faces life in prison. He will be sentenced on a later date. The co-defendant’s case is pending.
