A woman who wanted to postpone her prison sentence, decided to get pregnant 13 times in a period of 10 years in order to keep on getting paroled, processors in China said.

The 39-year-old woman identified as Zeng of Xinjiang, was jailed 10 years after being sentenced to life in prison on a charge of corruption.

Zeng actually claimed 14 pregnancies in 10 years, but one was false while the remaining 13 were true. Zeng was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Urumqi Intermediate People’s Court.

Because of her pregnancy at the time, the court decided to grant her temporary parole. When her temporary parole was up, Zeng got pregnant again.

After being paroled, she went to an abortion clinic and aborted her baby. She repeated the tactic 14 times.

Recently, prosecutors decided to end the parole and resubmitted the life in prison application to the Urumqi Intermediate People’s Court.

The court agreed and Zeng was booked into prison.
