A man was arrested on a charge of public drunkenness after checking himself into a hospital and vomiting in front of other patients, police in Ireland said.
Now, 25-year-old Ibrahim Olaogun of Mulhuddart, has been sentenced to pay a fine of 100 pounds ($155) after pleading guilty to public drunkenness and causing a breach of the peace.
The Dublin District Court heard that Olaogun was vomiting and in a state of drunkenness around 7:30 p.m. at the Mater Hospital.
He was being aggressive towards other patients and staff, and was asked to leave. When he refused, the police arrested him.
In court, Olaogun apologized for causing a breach of the peace at the hospital. A judge warned Olaogun to stop drinking alcoholic beverages.
