A man was arrested on a charge of causing alarm or distress after being caught on video urinating on a woman’s dog as it was walking on the street, police in the United Kingdom said.
Now, 27-year-old Nicholas Evans of Conwy, has been sentenced to pay 405 pounds in fines and court fees after pleading guilty to causing harassment, alarm or distress.
According to the police investigation, Evans was seen on surveillance video, which was taken by a police helicopter, urinating on a wall around 4:30 p.m.
As he was urinating, a woman walked by with a small dog.
Evans did not move and urinated on the dog. He was also accused of chasing after a cyclist who spotted him urinating on the dog.
The woman filed a complaint with the police. Later that night, police showed Evans the video in which he is seen urinating on the dog.
Evans admitted to the act and apologized. Evans said that he had gone to an area where he thought he would be hidden from public view.
He also said that he did not believe that the cyclist was disturbed by the incident.
