(Scroll down for video) A woman in Florida, left her two young children home alone so she can go out and party with her friends.

The woman barricaded her 2-year-old twins inside the home on Sunday night with plywood, so she could go to the party at the margarita festival.

29-year-old Kiria Ferris still wore her wrist band from the festival when she was arrested and charged with child neglect.

A neighbor called police after seeing the two children playing unattended near a lake next to their house in Orlando.

Ferris’s front door was open. Police said that there was a giant piece of plywood and some bicycles blocking the main entrance.

Detectives found dirty diapers, items of choking hazard and toxic cleaning chemicals within the reach of the children.

Ferris originally told police that she was on her way home from work when they contacted her.

However, when she got home around 10:00 p.m. in a light blue evening gown and a red wristband, she admitted that she had been partying at the margarita festival.

Ferris said that she tried to get the father of the children to babysit them, but he was not available. So she blocked the door with plywood so her children could not leave. Ferris was booked on two counts of child neglect.
