A couple was jailed after they pleaded guilty to wounding a man.

Nicole Robins and her partner Aaron Dougherty of the United Kingdom, attacked 2 men for trespassing on their property.

Dougherty stabbed the two men on their behind with a 10-inch knife while Robins beat them with a bat after seeing them in their garden.

The victims, Andrew Balmont and Jason Osbourne, had been drinking before they went onto the couple’s property while looking for a motorbike that had been stolen.

Dougherty, 27, of Llanedeyrn, Cardiff, came out of his house carrying a knife. Robins, 27, followed him with a bat.

She delivered the first blow, beating Balmont with the bat. Dougherty then stabbed Balmont in the behind. He also suffered an injury to his hand while trying to protect himself.

Robins then pushed Osbourne to the ground and sat on him. While on the ground, Dougherty put the knife into his mouth.

Dougherty was sentenced to 10 years in prison after admitting two counts of wounding with intent.

Robins’ lawyer argued that she is a “devoted mother” and her children would suffer if she is locked up.

However, the judge sentenced her to two years and three months in prison after admitting two counts of illegal injuries.
