(Scroll down for video) Parents of New York, were questioned by police after their 1-year-old girl was found locked inside a safe in a hotel in Canada.
Niagara Falls police said that the parents, who were not identified, went to the police in Markham on Wednesday night, after learning that police wanted to talk with them about the incident.
After an interviewing the parents of Brooklyn, police said that the child is safe and no charges will be filed. According to the police investigation, the child had to be freed from a safe by staff from the hotel.
The incident happened during a game of hide and seek among the children of the couple.
Police said the children were playing hide and seek in the Howard Johnson hotel, when one child decided that the safe was a good place to use during the game.
After the placing the baby inside, they were unable to open the safe. Police said that the child is under one year old and small enough to fit in the safe.
