A man of the United Kingdom, is devastated over the loss of his mobility after doctors were forced to amputate his leg.

25-year-old Craig Finn had just moved into a new apartment in Spennymoor, County Durham, when he invited friends to celebrate with some drinks.

After the party, when Finn passed out on the floor, his friend James Gillibrand, 24, set him on fire as a “joke.” He then took photos, showing Finn lying in agony with burns on both of his legs.

He suffered third-degree burns to his legs. Surgeons were forced to amputate one leg below the knee and he was placed in a coma for a month at the Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Finn, who only realized he lost his leg after coming out of the coma, is angry and said that he does not want to reconcile with his former friend.

Gillibrand was arrested, and he pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm without intent and committing reckless arson of endangering a life at the Durham Crown Court.

Gillibrand was remanded into custody while awaiting sentencing.
