A man was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly stabbing a man who accused him of stealing potato chips from a plate, police in Oregon said.
Portland police said that they arrested 56-year-old Clarence Dorn, Jr., after being accused of stabbing 30-year-old Robert Alexander.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded at a house located in the 9300 block of N Fiske Avenue on Saturday around 9:00 p.m.
Alexander accused Dorn of stealing potato chips from a child’s plate. The two men got into an argument, and Dorn stabbed Alexander stabbed in the neck.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found Dorn at a nearby parking lot. Alexander was transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Dorn was arrested on a charge of assault, and he was booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
