A homeless shelter resident who was arrested on a charge of rape, told police officers that he committed the crime several times because it felt good, police in Indonesia said.

Now, 46-year-old Hoe Chay Eng was sentenced to serve 9 years in prison after being convicted of raping his fellow resident several times.

Eng has a lengthy criminal record. He has been convicted twice for robbery and has been diagnosed with anti-social personality disorder.

In another incident, while police officer Davindran Mohan, 23, was patrolling the shelter, Eng suddenly began shouting at him and challenged him to a fight.

He then took a piece of metal and hit the officer twice in the head. Two officers managed to detain Eng, and he was convicted of assault.

A few weeks later, Eng told a 29-year-old resident to follow him to a quiet area, where he raped him. The victim told investigators that he did not object to Eng’s actions because he was afraid.

Eng admitted that he had committed a similar act with the victim because it felt good.
