A man was arrested on a charge of kidnapping after allegedly being run over by a truck that belonged to his girlfriend’s grandmother, police in Florida said.
Santa Rosa County police said that they have arrested 21-year-old Herman Dubose, after an argument with his girlfriend resulted in him being run over by a truck.
According to the police investigation, Dubose began arguing with his 19-year-old girlfriend because she refused to allow him to drive her grandmother’s truck on Monday.
The incident unfolded in the 6400 block of Pine Blossom Road.
The woman told investigators that Dubose took out a pocket knife and began stabbing the truck’s window. Out of fear, the woman locked herself inside the truck.
Dubose then lied down in the front of the vehicle while the truck was running. The 19-year-old woman then drove over him.
Dubose went home and call the police. Dubose was charged with kidnapping, unlawful detention and property damage. He was treated at the Santa Rosa Medical Center before being transferred to the Santa Rosa Jail.
His bail was set at $5,000.
