A woman in the United Kingdom, moved her wedding back 5 weeks, so that her father could walk her down the aisle.

He made it to the wedding, but her mother suddenly passed away just 4 days before the ceremony.

Kelly Galt, 32, of Everton, Liverpool, was set to marry Alan, 42, when her mother suddenly died of a heart attack.

Kelly decided to go ahead with the wedding before she loses her father Robert, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Kelly spent her wedding day awaiting the post mortem results for her mother.

“It was just a black cloud over the day. I kept looking at my father who was just withering away too,” a brokenhearted Kelly said.

The couple got married with their 2 children, Lacy, 4, and Louis, 2, by their side.

Kelly said that she feels guilty that her husband had to deal with her heartbreak over the loss of her mother just before her wedding.

Sadly, she said that she also feels guilty that her mother was not at her wedding. Her father died one month after the wedding at the age of 59.
