(Scroll down for video) A man was invited to speak at a church about his faith, and he decided to use the opportunity to propose to his boyfriend.
The man of Texas, got down on one knee in front of the whole congregation of the United Methodist Church, and they received a standing ovation.
Trevor Harper, 36, and Davis Covin, 30, who live in Austin, began dating about 9 years ago. They have been active members of the church for the past two years.
When Harper decided to propose in front of his church, he got the help and blessing from his pastor, Reverend John Wright.
Harper admitted that Covin does not like public attention so he was overwhelmed by the public nature of the proposal, but he accepted.
The couple hopes that by next year, when they want to get married, the church will be more open to allowing them to hold their ceremony on the premises.
