A woman was killed after taking her man to meet her family for dinner.
Antonio Williams, 22, of Alabama, was charged with capital murder after he allegedly shot and killed the woman after having dinner with the her grandmother, Cynthia Brown.
Jacoria Ray, 20, brought Williams home to meet her grandmother for the first time. Just a few hours later, her body was found on the side of a Birmingham road.
Williams, who is a former soldier, spent time with her family before leaving with Ray and her 12-year-old brother.
The couple dropped off the 12-year-old boy at a relative’s home. They were then supposed to deliver a plate of food to Jacoria’s mother, but they never made it to her house.
After her daughter did not show up, Deandra Ray called the police. They found the body. She suffered a gunshot wound.
Williams was arrested the next day. The former soldier is now facing capital murder charges.
