A man who blamed his girlfriend for losing his job, forced his girlfriend to sell her organs to compensate him for his lost wages, police in Japan said.

Tokyo police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Tamotsu Aida, after being accused of extorting for his girlfriend 80,0000 yen ($672) because she didn’t wake him up in the morning.

According to the police investigation, Aida wanted a total of 1.5 million yen ($12,610) from his girlfriend, and he told her to sell her organs and give him the cash.

Aida became angry when his girlfriend did not wake him up in time to get to work, which caused him to lose his job. The woman told police that Aida became abusive and accused her of being responsible for the loss of his job.

He told her to go to South Korea or China, and sell some of her organs. The woman filed a criminal complaint after the abuse continued despite giving him the 80,000 yen.

During questioning, Aida denied extorting the money from his girlfriend, saying that she gave him the 80,000 yen as a gift.
