(Scroll down for video) Parents found their teen boy slumped over in a chair in front a video game screen after playing Warcraft for nearly three months in a row, police in Russia said.

The 17-year-old boy identified as Rustam of Uchaly, died of a blood clot in the leg, doctors who treated the child said.

The boy’s parents told investigators that their son became addicted to Warcraft after breaking a leg and staying home alone.

For nearly three months, the teen only stopped playing to eat and sleep for several hours.

The parents took the boy to a hospital after they found him slumped over in his chair, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Detectives determined that the boy spent the equivalent of 83 days playing the game in the last three months. It is believed that he developed a blood clot in the leg because of the lack of movement.

People can suffer from such problems during long flights as they are forced to sit. The coroner ruled that the boy died of a thrombosis.
