Black female bank executive hospitalized after police believed she stole her own BMW

(Scroll down for video) A black woman said that she was pulled over by police while singing along and dancing to music in her car.

The woman of New York, filed a lawsuit against the city, the police department and police officers after she was held against her will in a psychiatric hospital.

32-year-old Kamilah Brock was in the psychiatric ward for eight days, where she was forcefully given sedatives. After being released, Brock was slapped with a bill of $13,000.

The horrific ordeal began when Brock, a bank executive, was driving her own BMW in Harlem. Brock said that she was at a red light when an officer asked her why her hands were not on the steering wheel.

She responded that she was dancing to music while waiting for the light to change.

However, the officer pulled her over and arrested her because the officer did not believe the BMW belonged to her.

Brock was taken to the 30th Precinct, where she was held for a few hours before being released without any charges being filed against her.

She said that she was told to come back the next day to pick up her car, a 2003 BMW 325Ci. When she returned the next day, officers placed her in handcuffs and told her to get into an ambulance, which will transported her to her car.

Brock admits that she thought it was strange, but she just wanted to get to her car so she did as she was told.
However, instead of being taken to her car, Brock was taken to Harlem Hospital.

At the hospital, doctors determining that Brock was delusional and she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Brock said that doctors attempted to get her to admit that the BMW was not hers and that she is not a banker.

Medical records obtained by her attorney, Michael Lamonsoff, show that she was injected with powerful sedatives and forced to take doses of lithium.

Lamonsoff said that his client never suffered from mental illness.
