A young man was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief after allegedly urinating on plane passengers and on their luggage during a flight from Alaska, police in Oregon said.
Portland police said that they have arrested 27-year-old Jeff D. Rubin, after being accused of urinating on passengers right before the plane landed at the Portland International Airport.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on a JetBlue flight that left from Anchorage. Flight attendants and plane passengers told police that Rubin had slept most of the flight.
About 30 minutes before landing, he stood up and began to urinate onto passengers seated in front of him. At some point, Rubin lost his balance and fell backward.
He proceeded to urinate on additional passengers and on luggage. Rubin was charged with criminal mischief and littering.
Rubin was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, and he was released on his own recognizance.
