A man was arrested after he cut the head of a child and then used super glue to close the wound.

The man of Northamptonshire, England, threw a remote control at the young child, leaving him with a 1-inch gash.

However, rather than taking the child to a hospital, the man used a strong glue to close the wound, a court heard.

The man, who was not identified, appeared at the Northampton Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to assaulting a child.

The court heard that the man had been drinking heavily and then “lost his temper” in a house in Rushden. He threw the TV remote control in the direction of the child.

The remote control hit a coffee table and then hit the child’s head, causing the large cut.

Instead of calling a doctor or taking the child to a hospital, the man used glue to treat the wound.

The man also pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by throwing a mobile phone at her head and punching her in the face.

Judge Timothy Smith sentenced the man to one year and eight weeks in prison, suspended for two years.
