(Scroll down for video) A woman said that she and her family were left traumatized after a man pointed a gun at them.

The man accidentally shot himself in the leg while waving two weapons at the woman and her child during an incident of road rage in Florida.

Melissa Drake said that the man who was driving a silver Mercedes in Fort Myers, had been weaving in and out of lanes before attempting to cut her off.

Drake, who had three teens riding with her, said that she blew her horn and gestured as if to ask the man what he was doing.

In response, the man slammed on his brakes, and pointed an assault rifle at her and her family.

The teenager in the car called police and reported the incident. Drake drove away from the area as the man continued to drive erratically.

Soon after, the man accidentally shot himself in the leg with the gun and crashed his car. A good Samaritan, who witnessed the man jumping out from his Mercedes with blood running down his leg, stopped to help.

The man was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Police said that they found a gun and a large rifle in the car along with a lot of blood on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The name of the man has not been released. The case is still under investigation.
