(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of arson after allegedly setting fire to a building belonging to a train company because they use too much electricity, police in Japan said.
Tokyo police said that they have arrested 42-year-old Izaya Noda, after being accused of setting fire to the building belonging to the East Japan Railway Company.
The incident was just one of seven arson attacks against the company in the past few weeks. Some of the fires disrupted train service.
Security camera footage of the arson attacks shows a man escaping from the scenes on a bicycle. When police searched the home of the suspect, they found a bicycle that looks similar to the one on the surveillance videos.
During police questioning, Noda admitted to his involvement in the arson attacks, saying that he could not tolerate the company’s consumption of electricity.
