A police department in the United Kingdom, apologized to neighborhood residents after police officers sounded their emergency car sirens following a debate by 5-year-old children about the noise pattern.
The sirens were used during an official presentation to students of the Haydonleigh Primary School in Swindon.
North Swindon police said that the incident unfolded on Wednesday morning. The department apologized to anyone in the area who may have been disturbed by the sirens.
Police said that the elementary school students were having a major debate about the noise pattern of the emergency sirens when officers decided to settle the debate by turning on their cars’ sirens.
Police also said that they were impressed by the children’s intelligent questions.
