A nursing home employee was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly trying to kill an elderly female patient because he was sick of taking care of her, police in Japan said.
Osaka police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Shogo Kano, after being accused of choking the 97-year-old woman as she was sleeping in her bed.
According to the police investigation, the incident occurred at the Sanrakuen nursing home on Saturday afternoon. Kano choked the woman with both hand until she passed out.
When he left, another employee came into the room and realized that something was wrong with the woman before calling police.
