(Scroll down for video) A psychologist in Canada, caused a young woman of North Carolina, who dreamed of becoming disabled her entire life, to go blind by pouring drain cleaner in her eyes.

30-year-old Jewel Shuping said that dreamed of going blind one day.

Shuping was born perfectly healthy, but she became obsessed with being disabled, and by 21 years old, she took matters into her own hands.

Shuping found a psychologist who was willing to pour drain cleaner in her eyes. During the following six months, she gradually lost her sight and is now almost completely blind.

Shuping is suffering from Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID), which is a rare disease that causes people without disabilities to believe that they are supposed to be disabled.

When she was just 3 years old, her mother caught her walking in middle of the night without any lights on. Shuping bought a white cane as a teen and taught herself Braille.

At the age of 20, she was able to read Braille fluently. Shuping has refused to name the psychologist who helped her go blind. Shuping said that she has never been happier, and does not regret her decision.
